[20:58] <_Six_> just checked chanmodes, no nickbans - just dickbans [20:58] Ed that why I said [20:59] * golan (~golan@NewNet-80735462.cpe.net.cable.rogers.com) has joined #c64friends [20:59] * ChanServ sets mode: +o golan [20:59] Re. [23:17] wb Dopple [23:18] NP Caricon, I have spares in my collection for him. He is returning after a long time away. When Ifirst talked to him. Didn't know of the existance of the 1581. [23:19] and I'll toss in the disk I formatted tonight too :) [23:19] If you know someone looking for a parts SX I have one for sale too. It does work but just needs 3 things fixed. [23:20] How much you selling it for? [23:20] $50 [23:20] will toss in an extra keyboard too. [23:20] What are the 3 problems [23:21] sound is going out, needs a new sid chip. The floppy drive needs the spring replaced, and for some reason the drive reads fine when the disk is on side one, but when I turn disks over it won't read... [23:21] But it works just fine besides that. Was playing on it tonight. [23:23] which spring? for the latch? [23:23] to pop the disks out when you open it. [23:23] the latch works fine [23:24] scratch the extra keyboard. [23:24] oh, ya, mine sort of does that too.. I push the disk and it bounces back out [23:24] this one I think the spring must be missing. [23:24] just undoing the latch doesn't pop it out on mine [23:25] 10q, gonna be afk for a while [23:25] there is another little spring in there that pushes back when the disk is inserted. It must be gone or just off, not sure [23:25] I've got another mech already lined up for replacement in the future [23:26] let me take a look at it, brb [23:26] I had another parts sx that was really torn down, but I gave that to Six at the last show. [23:27] ya, there is a spring on the mechanism that ejects the disk on this mech [23:28] yep. i've played in disk drives enough. But getting to the insides of one on the sx to it, isn't that easy. [23:28] I would think it would be easy enough to fix, it's on the top of the drive [23:29] remove the storage bay and access would be easy enough [23:30] spring is pretty strong on this mech [23:32] when you put a disk in, the spring is hidden by the disk [23:33] mech is an Alps FDM2111-B2 [23:38] is it easy to open a sx keyboard? [23:38] There are a lot of screws as I recall.
